LSU Austin Alumni Association

LSU Austin Scholarships

The Austin Chapter of the LSU Alumni Association offers two chapter scholarships to "Greater Austin Area" students (Austin and surrounding areas - think Central Texas) that are one-time awards of $1,000 per year ($500 per semester). One is for ENTERING FRESHMEN and the other is for RETURNING STUDENTS. Through our annual fundraiser, started way back in 1991, we have managed to raise over $80,000 for our scholarships! It couldn't happen without the hard work and support of everyone involved! THANK YOU!

Applicants, please fill out and mail in your scholarship application package so that it is received by us by March 1st, 2013. Mailing information is included on the application forms. You may also email your application package to scholarship@lsuaustin.com. If you opt for email, please make sure to white-out or somehow cover up your social security number. If mailing in the application package, photocopies of required documents are perfectly fine.

Minimum requirements to apply are:

  • GPA 3.0 - 4.0 and ACT = 20 or SAT = 950
  • GPA 2.8 - 2.99 and ACT = 21 or SAT = 990

APPLICATION FOR ENTERING FRESHMEN

APPLICATION FOR RETURNING STUDENTS.

Keep in mind that while these awards are non-renewable, previous winners can reapply for the Returning Students Scholarship in future years while at LSU.
